The teacher will comment on the importance of using appropriate clothes in each season and the way we have to protect ourselves to avoid getting ill when it's very cold or very sunny, when it rains or snows... Each child will suggest ways of protection (use of sunscreens, use of umbrellas...). The teacher will print a copy for each one of the children from the supplemetary material (click here). The children will observe the illustration and name each one of the articles of clothing that appear in it. They will say when they have to wear them and in which part of the body to protect themselves against cold and the sun. The teacher will elaborate a big mural divided in two parts: on one of the parts he/she will draw the sun or any summer landscape (like a beach) and on the other one he/she will draw a snowy landscape. The children will colour and cut up the articles of clothing from the illustration. Then they will glue them on the appropriate part of the mural. |
