A day at the countryside

  • Observation
  • Respect
  • Appreciation of natural environments

The teacher prints files document 1, document 2, document 3 and document 4). Then he/she will give a copy to each child and all of them will talk about the different scenes they can see on the illustration and if these actions are right or wrong ones.

The teacher will ask questions like "What would happen if the fire wasn't extinguished?" and "what would happen if the pieces of garbage and papers were left forever on the ground?", showing document 1.

The children will cut up the different actions and glue them according to a logical order on a sheet of paper. Each child will tell the others what he/she thinks has happened in the place shown in the illustration. Which one would be the last scene: document 1 or document 4?

P.S.: The difficulty of the questions will be adapted to the age of the children. With the two or three year olds the best option will be to work in-groups instead of individually.
