The director of the Egyptian Institute, Mr. Elsayed Ibrahim Soheim, welcomed the members of the Jury and recalled the close collaboration between his Institute and Peace and Cooperation. Joaquín Antuña, president and founder of Peace and Cooperation, stressed the importance of the values of Peace and Reconciliation in today’s society and underlined that this award would not be possible without the support of the diplomats from all over the world, thanking them all for their attendance on the UN Day. It was announced that the opening of the exposition Peace and Reconciliation will take place on the 21st November at the Egyptian Institute. The exposition will be closed on the 12th December, 63rd Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and 30th Anniversary of Peace and Cooperation.

The United Nations plays a major role in the prevention of conflict and in the reestablishment of peace and reconciliation. There is not a single model of reconciliation and that is why we would like you to give us ideas and ask you to paint about acts related to reconciliation and the promotion of friendship.
